कान्तिलाल दवे जैन पुराणों का सर्वेक्षण करते हैं — जिनसेन का पुराण और महापुराण का भेद, हिन्दू पुराणों से लिए गए पाँच या दस लक्षण, अपभ्रंश की संधि-कडवक रचनाशैली, तथा बलदेव, वासुदेव और प्रतिवासुदेव का व्यक्ति नहीं पद होना। अन्त की सूची में लगभग पचास कृतियाँ, कर्ता और काल हैं। Dave surveys the Jaina Puranas: Jinasena's distinction of purana from mahapurana, the five or ten laksanas taken over from the Hindu Puranas, the Apabhramsa samdhi and kadavaka form, and the pattern of Baladeva, Vasudeva and Prativasudeva as offices rather than persons. A table lists some fifty works.
