What Patrika is

पत्रिका क्या है

An indexed archive of Jain patrikas, journals and scholarly articles. Search in Hindi, Sanskrit, English or IAST transliteration.

Article by article

Jain scholarship of the last century lives in patrikas — journals published in small print runs, now sitting in cupboards. Patrika takes those bound volumes apart and catalogues every article individually.

Citeable, permanently

Each article carries its own title, author, issue and page range, and its own permanent link — so a reference can be checked rather than merely mentioned.

Searchable in four scripts

Hindi, Sanskrit, English and IAST transliteration all reach the same record, and the text inside the scanned pages is searchable too.

That a century of Jain scholarship — published in small print runs and now sitting in cupboards — becomes findable, citeable and permanent, article by article.
