कवि गायकसे ऐसा गीत गानेको कहता है जिससे प्राणोंकी ममता और जगका अनुराग जल जाए और ऐसी आग धधक उठे कि काँपता मन दृढ़ हो, सोया हृदय जागे और मनकी कायरता मर जाए। चाहे क्षेम रहे या प्रलय मचे, मनमें स्वतन्त्र होनेका विचार हो। अन्तमें वह कहता है कि मुझे पराया नहीं, अपना अधिकार चाहिए।
