बसन्तकुमार जैन की इस कविता में भगवान महावीर को वीतराग, दया के सागर, समता के दीप और अहिंसा के प्रचारक के रूप में स्मरण किया गया है। उन्होंने जाति-धर्म के भेद बिना सबको स्नेह दिया, समवशरण में सबको शरण दी और आत्मधर्म को विश्वधर्म बनाया। प्रत्येक पद में कवि उनके समान बनने की कामना करता है।
