लेखमें श्रावस्तीके अन्तिम जैन सम्राट् राणा सुहेलदेवको भारतीय इतिहासका विस्मृत नायक बताया गया है, जिन्होंने आक्रमणकारी सैयद सालार मसऊद गाजीको युद्धमें मारकर देशको लम्बे समय तक विदेशी आक्रमणोंसे मुक्त रखा। आर्कियोलॉजिकल सर्वे रिपोर्ट, बहराइच गजेटियर और श्रीकण्ठचरितके प्रमाण दिये गये हैं और उनकी स्मृतिको पुनर्जीवित करनेका आह्वान किया गया है।
