મૂલદેવની ગૂઢ લિપિ

“સુવર્ણ-રીપ્ટ-સિદ્ધિ-શાસ્ત્ર" નામના આ ગ્રંથમા કેટલાક ગૂઢ-લિપિના પ્રયોગો જોવામા આવ્યા છે. આવા કેટલાક શબ્દો તેના પેજ-નબર પેરેગ્રાફનબર અને પક્તિ-નબર સાથે નીચે બતાવ્યા છે અમુક વસ્તુને ગુપ્ત રાખવા ખાતર વૈદ્ય, જોષી, ધાતુવિદ્યાવાદી, મત્રવાદી વગેરે લેખકોએ કરેલા એક જ લિપિના વર્ણ-પરિવર્તનરૂપ ફેરફારોથી આવી ગૂઢ-લિપિઓ ઉત્પન્ન થઈ છે આ ગૂઢ-લિપિનુ નામ “મૂલદેવી-લિપિ” છે. મૂલદેવ ઈ. સ. પૂર્વે થઈ ગયેલ

डॉ. जे. सी. सीकदार द्वारा सम्पादित 'सुवर्ण-रौप्य-सिद्धि-शास्त्र' में प्रयुक्त 'मूलदेवी' गूढ लिपि का उद्घाटन। कोष्ठक के ऊपर-नीचे के व्यंजन परस्पर बदलकर पढ़े जाते हैं, स्वर यथावत् रहते हैं; विशेषावश्यक की टीका में गिनाई अठारह लिपियों में यह एक है। लगभग चालीस गूढ शब्दों के देवनागरी पाठ भी दिये हैं। Deciphers the 'Muladevi' secret script found in the Suvarna-raupya-siddhi-sastra edited by J. C. Sikdar: a two-row consonant substitution with vowels unchanged, named among the eighteen scripts in the Visesavasyaka commentary. Tabulates about forty enciphered words with their Devanagari readings, mostly metals and weights (trambe, rupu, jasta, paro, masa).
