कुलश्रेष्ठ दक्षिण भारतीय कवि राजचूडामणि दीक्षित के महाकाव्य रुक्मिणीकल्याण की सङ्गीत-सामग्री संकलित करती हैं, जिसमें कृष्ण-रुक्मिणी विवाह की कथा है। वे गायन, वादन और नृत्य का क्रमशः विवेचन करती हैं तथा मृदङ्ग, गन्धर्वों और माघ के शिशुपालवध के समानान्तर उद्धरण देती हैं। Kulashrestha gathers the musical material in the Rukminikalyana, a mahakavya of the southern poet Rajacudamani Diksita on the marriage of Krsna and Rukmini. She treats singing, instruments and dance in turn, citing the mrdanga, gandharvas and parallels from Magha's Sisupalavadha.
