Yadav gathers the references to dress and ornament in Haribhadra's Prakrit Samaraiccakaha, setting them in a history that runs from Mohenjo-daro through the Vedic period to the seventh century, and glossing terms such as dukula with the help of the Harsacarita and V. S. Agrawala.
