Reviews Sarvanandasuri's Sri Jagaducarita (7 cantos, 388 verses), on the Srimali merchant Jagadu of Bhadresvara in Kacch, who fed Gujarat, Sindh, Delhi, Kashi and Kandahar through the famine of Samvat 1312-15. Tests the poem against Dandin's and Visvanatha's mahakavya criteria; finds metre, alankara and dayavira rasa competent, some faulty yati.
