लेखक दिखाते हैं कि सत्यका अनुभव बहुरूपात्मक है। आधिदैविक दृष्टि, जड़वादी विज्ञान तथा अन्य विचारधाराएँ सत्यके एक-एक पक्षको ही पूर्ण मान बैठती हैं, इसलिए परस्पर विरोधी दिखती हैं। हमारा ज्ञानगम्य सत्य सापेक्ष है; निरपेक्ष नय मिथ्या और सापेक्ष नय सार्थक हैं। पूर्ण सत्य केवलज्ञानका विषय है, और यही अनेकान्तका आशय है।
