Pandya expounds the Advaita doctrine of self-luminous consciousness as argued in Anandabodha's Nyayamakaranda, against Naiyayika and Prabhakara objections. Cognition cannot be an object of cognition without regress; were manifestation insentient the whole world would be blind. Self-luminosity is identified, as in the Upanisads, with Brahman.
