The Mrcchakauka has some obscure expressions and in spite of attempts made by annotators and translaters the obscurity in a number of cases has not been finally dispelled So efforts in this direction have to be kept up. It is in this spirit that a few such expressions have been taken up here for consideration
Transcribed from the prepared edition. This is the beginning of the article, not a summary — open the PDF to read it in full.
Poddar takes up expressions in the Mrcchakatika that annotators have left obscure. He reads the sostarka and lastaka of Sakara as instructions to recite his own verse with praise and with artifice, and proposes fresh explanations for several further cruxes in the play.
