पं. नाथूलाल शास्त्री आचार्य जयसेन की तात्पर्यवृत्ति के दो उद्धरणों पर विचार कर बताते हैं कि कानजी स्वामी ने भव्यत्व की अभिव्यक्ति और शुद्धोपयोग को चतुर्थ गुणस्थान का विषय बताकर अर्थ-विपर्यय किया है। आचार्य के अभिप्राय के अनुसार भव्यत्व की साक्षात् अभिव्यक्ति मुनिदीक्षा के बाद सातवें से चौदहवें गुणस्थान तक होती है।
