Wadhwani asks how many subtle bodies classical Sankhya postulates. Reading Sankhyakarika 39 to 42 against the Sankhyapravacanasutra, Vacaspati, Gaudapada, Mathara and Vijnanabhiksu, he argues that Isvarakrsna assumed two, the lingasarira and an adhisthanasarira of tanmatras, not the single linga later commentators read into him.
