राजवैद्य पं० शीतलप्रसादजी स्वास्थ्य-रक्षा को मनुष्य का प्रमुख कर्तव्य बताते हैं, क्योंकि धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष चारों पुरुषार्थों का मूल आरोग्य है। शिक्षित वर्ग भी स्वास्थ्य के नियमों से अनभिज्ञ है। आयुर्वेद के आधार पर हितकर आहार-विहार, संयम, दान, समता और सत्य को नीरोग रहने का उपाय बताया गया है।
