प्राकृत गाथाओं और उनकी संस्कृत छाया के आधार पर केवलज्ञान के स्वरूप का विवेचन है। द्रव्यदृष्टि से केवलज्ञान और केवलदर्शन आत्मा के अनादि-अनन्त गुण हैं, पर आवरण-कर्मों के क्षय से प्रकट होने के कारण सादि और फिर सतत रहने से अपर्यवसित कहे जाते हैं। भवस्थकेवली के सिद्ध होने पर शरीरादि का सम्बन्ध छूटने की अपेक्षा उसे पर्यवसित भी कहा गया है।
