सम्पादकीयमें अनेकान्तके तेरहवें वर्षके आरम्भकी सूचना है, जो श्रावणसे आषाढ़ तक चलेगा। लेखक बताते हैं कि प्राचीन भारतमें वर्षका आरम्भ वर्षा ऋतुके पहले दिन श्रावण कृष्ण प्रतिपदासे माना जाता था, इसीसे 'वर्ष' नाम पड़ा, और आषाढ़ी पूर्णिमाके दिन अगले वर्षका भविष्य जाननेकी परीक्षा होती थी।
