श्री फतेहचन्द सेठी जैन गजट और जैन हितैषी के सम्पादन, 'मेरी भावना' की लोकप्रियता और 'ग्रन्थ परीक्षा' से आर्ष ग्रन्थों की रक्षा का उल्लेख करते हुए बताते हैं कि १९५६ में मुख्तार जी अजमेर आए, लगभग पाँच मास रहकर बड़ा धड़ा पंचायत मन्दिर के शास्त्र-भण्डार का पूर्ण अवलोकन किया और उसकी क्रमबद्ध सूची तैयार की।
