Sharma examines dṛṣṭisṛṣṭivāda, the post-Śaṅkara Advaita doctrine that worldly objects exist only while perceived. He sets out Prakāśānanda's Vedāntasiddhāntamuktāvalī, answers Dasgupta and Hiriyanna, who deny the doctrine is old or Śaṅkara's, distinguishes it from Vijñānavāda Buddhism, and relates it to Sureśvara's ābhāsavāda.
