Shastri expounds the Tripurā Tantra, the Śrī Vidyā, as the practical Vedānta of the Upaniṣads. He derives the word tantra from the root tan, distinguishes Āgama from Nigama, and sets out the school's philosophy and its path of sādhanā, which it opens to all regardless of caste, creed or sex.
